About  Cha-Am

The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times and was once a fishing village. The town of ChaAm was established in the late 19th century, when the first railway was built in the region.

This railway connected the town to Bangkok, Hua Hin and other cities in Thailand. As a result, the town grew rapidly and became a popular destination for holiday makers and foreign tourists.

In the early 20th century, Cha-Am’s popularity grew further due to its proximity to Bangkok, as well as its beautiful beaches and lush green hills.

In the 1930s, the area was developed further when the first roads were built. Hotels and resorts were built to accommodate the increasing number of tourists.

In the 1960s, Cha-Am became a popular destination for the wealthy Bangkok Thais, who built luxurious villas and residences in the area. The town’s popularity continued to grow, with the construction of modern resorts, shopping centers, and entertainment venues.
